How it works
- Choose a category. Each section below has its own short form.
- Tell us about your setup. Your printer, label size, and where the labels will be used help us send the right materials.
- Test them. A labeling specialist follows up to confirm we’re sending the right materials, and your samples arrive in 7 to 10 business days.
Inkjet Label Samples
If you print color labels in-house, the face stock matters as much as the printer. A label that looks sharp on gloss paper can bleed on the wrong material, and paper labels won’t hold up to moisture the way poly does. Our inkjet label samples let you see the difference before you buy a full case.
What you can request:
- Blank inkjet labels to run through your own printer with your own artwork
- Printed inkjet labels that show real print quality and color on each material
Works with: Epson ColorWorks, Afinia Label, VIPColor, and many other inkjet label printers.
Thermal Label Samples
Thermal labels look alike on the roll, but they behave very differently in use. Direct thermal labels need no ribbon and work well for shipping labels and short-term use, but they fade with heat and sunlight. Thermal transfer labels use a ribbon and last much longer, especially on poly materials. Testing a sample on your printer also confirms the core size, roll size, and sensing work the way they should.
What you can request:
- Blank direct thermal labels for shipping and short-term labels
- Blank thermal transfer labels in paper and poly, for longer-lasting labels
- Printed thermal labels that show barcode and text quality on each material
Works with: Zebra, TSC, GoDEX, Printronix, and any other thermal printer.
Warehouse Label and Sign Samples
Warehouse labels have to stick to painted steel, survive forklift traffic, and scan from a distance, sometimes in a freezer. The only reliable way to know if a label will hold up is to put it on your racks and scan it. We’ve labeled hundreds of warehouses across North America, and we’ll help you match the sample to your surfaces and scanning setup.
What you can request:
- Rack and beam labels, including magnetic labels
- Floor labels and floor label shields
- Cold storage labels
- Retro-reflective long-range labels and signs
- Warehouse signs, including aisle and safety signs
and more!
Plant Stake Samples
Plant stakes spend months in soil, water, and sun, so the material and print have to last the whole growing season. Stake thickness also decides which printers can handle them. Request a few samples to check that your printer feeds them cleanly and that the print stays readable after watering and handling.
What you can request:
- Printable plant stakes in 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″
- Colors: white, green, yellow, etc.
- Print method: thermal transfer, inkjet
- Printed samples: Yes
Works with: GoDEX HD830i+ / Epson ColorWorks C6500
Why Test Labels Before You Order
Most label problems show up after the first case arrives. A short test with samples catches them early:
- Printer fit. Core size, roll diameter, and gap or black mark sensing all have to match your printer.
- Print quality. Check that barcodes scan on the first try and text stays sharp at your print speed.
- Adhesion. Labels behave differently on corrugated boxes, plastic, painted steel, and cold or damp surfaces.
- Durability. Heat, sunlight, moisture, chemicals, and handling wear labels down at different rates.
- Ink or ribbon pairing. The wrong ribbon or ink for a material can smear or flake even when the label itself is right.
