The Epson Colorworks C3500 (TM-C3500) uses four individual CMYK pigment cartridges. Pigment inks are solid particles of colorant meaning that they are much more durable than dye-based inks. Pigment ink will not fade and is waterproof.
We recommend that you always order a spare set to ensure that you never run out. In addition, Pacific Barcode sells the Epson TM-3500 Maintenance Box which is used to hold the excess inks generated during the automatic cleaning of the printhead.
