LABELVIEW Software by TEKLYNX
Barcode label software for teams that have outgrown typing labels by hand. Pull data from Excel or a database, add serial numbers and GS1 barcodes, and print to the thermal and color printers you already run.

LABELVIEW software from TEKLYNX is a Windows program for designing and printing barcode labels. It sits in the middle of the TEKLYNX lineup, above LABEL MATRIX and below CODESOFT. It’s built for businesses that need variable data, database connections and compliance barcodes without an enterprise-level system.
The current version is LABELVIEW 2025. It comes in two editions, Pro and Gold, plus a print-only Runtime license. You can buy it as a subscription or a one-time perpetual license.
Pacific Barcode sells LABELVIEW alongside the printers, labels, inks and/or ribbons that work with it. We make labels in-house, so we can help you match the software, the printer and the label stock in one order.
LABELVIEW is a good fit once your labels start pulling from data instead of being typed one at a time. If you need serial numbers, expiration dates, lot codes or a link to a spreadsheet, you’re in LABELVIEW territory.
A few places we see it work well:
Warehouses and distribution centers printing GS1-128 pallet and carton labels straight from an Excel or SQL file.
Food and beverage producers printing ingredient and allergen labels. LABELVIEW Gold can bold allergens automatically.
Manufacturers printing serialized part labels, rating plates and automotive labels, including VDA formats.
Chemical and industrial shops printing hazard and compliance labels in color.
Shipping and receiving teams who need operators to print the right label without editing the design.
| Your situation | Best fit |
|---|---|
| One or two people printing simple labels with little variable data | LABEL MATRIX may be enough |
| Labels pull from Excel, Access or SQL, with serial numbers, dates or GS1 barcodes, for up to 5 users | LABELVIEW Pro |
| You need allergen bolding, scripting, shared counters, print logs, or more than 5 users | LABELVIEW Gold |
| Operators only need to print, not edit | LABELVIEW Runtime |
| You need RFID encoding, printing triggered from an ERP, or a validated environment | CODESOFT (ask us) |
Not sure which one fits? Call us at +1 800 508 2535 and tell us what you’re printing. We’ll point you to the right edition.
LABELVIEW Pro covers most small and mid-size labeling jobs for up to 5 users.
LABELVIEW Gold includes everything in Pro and adds automation, scripting and compliance tools, with no cap on network users. Runtime is a print-only license for stations that don’t need to design.
| Features | LABELVIEW Pro | LABELVIEW Gold | LABELVIEW Runtime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Small to mid-size operations, mostly manual data entry | Larger or multi-site teams, compliance labeling | Print-only stations on the floor |
| Label design | Included | Included | Print only |

Pick Pro if you have a handful of people designing and printing labels from spreadsheets or a database.
Pick Gold if you need allergen formatting, traceable print logs, scripting, or more than 5 people on the network.
Add Runtime seats if operators should print approved labels without being able to change them. Runtime works alongside a Pro or Gold design license.
A subscription costs less up front and always includes upgrades and support. A perpetual license is a one-time purchase you own, but upgrades and support come through a separate Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA).
| Subscription | Perpetual license | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | 1, 3 or 5-year term | One-time purchase |
| Version upgrades | Included | Included only with an active SMA. Otherwise you pay full price for the new version |
| Technical support | Included | Included with an SMA. Otherwise paid per incident |
| Training webinars | Included | Included with an SMA |
| If you stop paying | The software stops working until you renew | Keeps working on the version you own |
| Good fit for | Teams that want the latest version and a predictable yearly cost | Teams that want to own the software and upgrade on their own schedule |
About the SMA: every new perpetual license comes with a free 90-day SMA from TEKLYNX. After that, you can renew for 1, 3 or 5 years to keep upgrades, phone support and training. Multi-year subscriptions also lock in today’s price.
Already own LABELVIEW? We sell SMA renewals and subscription renewals too. Have your license number ready and contact us for a quote.
LABELVIEW 2025 was released in September 2025. The main changes are newer barcode standards, Windows Server 2025 support and new label templates.
GS1 Digital Link in the GS1 Wizard, so you can build the QR-based barcodes retailers are moving toward.
Improved IEC 61406 barcodes for product identification on industrial and medical equipment.
New templates, including VDA labels for the automotive industry.
Windows Server 2025 support.
Faster OData connections for cloud data sources.
Runtime users can view label object properties (read-only), which helps with troubleshooting on the floor.
Security updates, including newer encryption in the license manager.
On a subscription or an active SMA, you get LABELVIEW 2025 at no extra cost.
LABELVIEW handles the label work that slows teams down: pulling data, numbering labels, and getting barcodes right the first time.
100+ barcode types. Linear and 2D barcodes, QR Code, Data Matrix and GS1 DataBar, with wizards that format GS1 and HIBC data for you.
Database connections. Link labels to Excel, Access or SQL databases, or to cloud sources like Google Sheets, Excel Online and OData.
Serial numbers, dates and formulas. Counters, expiration dates calculated from today, and formulas that build a field from other fields.
Print forms for operators. Build a simple screen where operators pick or type a value and print. Variable Pick Lists keep entries consistent.
Touch2Print. A touchscreen-friendly print screen for the shop floor.
Color printing. Full-color labels on color label printers, not just black and white.
Ready-made templates. Start from compliance and industry templates instead of a blank label.
Label storage in the cloud. Save and open label files from Google Drive or OneDrive.
25 interface languages. Labels can print in almost any language using Unicode data.
Room to grow. LABELVIEW files can be upgraded to CODESOFT later, so you won’t have to redesign your labels.
LABELVIEW includes native drivers for thousands of thermal, thermal transfer and color label printers, so most printers work without extra setup. You can also run a mixed fleet of brands from the same software.
Printer brands we carry that LABELVIEW supports:
Epson ColorWorks color label printers, including the C4000, C6000, C6500 and C8000
VIPColor color label printers, including the VP500 and VP610
Afinia Label color label printers
Printronix thermal printers
TSC thermal printers
Not sure about your model? Send us the printer make and model and we’ll check it against the TEKLYNX driver list before you buy.
Software is only half the job. We manufacture labels in-house, so we can supply stock sized and coated for your printer and your application, plus the ribbons to go with it.
LABELVIEW 2025 runs on Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016 through 2025. There is no Mac or Linux version.

| Software | How it compares to LABELVIEW |
|---|---|
| LoftwareFormerly NiceLabel | A cloud-first labeling platform aimed at larger companies, with browser-based design and connections to ERPs like SAP and NetSuite. LABELVIEW is installed Windows software and a simpler fit for a single site or a small team. |
| BarTenderSeagull Scientific | The best-known competitor, with a larger driver library. LABELVIEW Pro covers a similar mid-level feature set. Compare editions side by side before you choose. |
| Secure LabelRFgen | A newer option, launched as a standalone product in June 2026. It runs on-premises or in the cloud with flat-rate pricing instead of per-seat fees, and fits teams already using RFgen. LABELVIEW has a longer track record and more than 4,000 native printer drivers. |
| EASYLABELTharo | Another Windows label designer we sell, licensed as a one-time purchase. See our EASYLABEL page to compare. |
Comparing options for your setup? We sell more than one label design package, so we can give you a straight answer on which fits.
Gold includes everything in Pro, plus allergen bolding, VBScript, shared counters across label files, a print log and Job Modifier. Pro tops out at 5 network users, while Gold has no user limit.
Both. You can buy a 1, 3 or 5-year subscription, or a perpetual license you pay for once.
The software stops working until you renew. A perpetual license keeps working, but you won’t get upgrades or support without an active SMA.
It isn’t required. Every new perpetual license includes a free 90-day SMA. Without one after that, upgrades cost the same as new software and support is paid per incident.
LABELVIEW Pro comes as a single-user license or a 5-user network license.
It runs on Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016 through 2025. There’s no Mac version, but you can run it in a Windows virtual machine with a VM license.
