General Terms
We will add you to our email list for periodic emails about Pacific Barcode Products/Services, industry news and sales. You may opt-out at any time. We promise to not over-email and your purchasing is an agreement that we may add you to our email list.
The headings in this agreement are for reference only. This agreement shall be interpreted under California law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the state of California, Riverside County. Should there need to be litigation against Pacific Barcode, Inc this must be in this jurisdiction.

Receipt of Order
- Examine your packages for possible shipping damage before opening the factory-sealed packaging. You must report any shipping damage to the carrier and Pacific Barcode upon receipt and you may refuse the shipment if the goods appear damaged.
- If you receive damaged goods and you accept them, you must accept them “with exception” on the freight bill or physical or digital receiver (Fedex and UPS)
- Claims for goods damaged in transit must be received within 5 calendar days of shipment.
Standard Product Return
- A return merchandise authorization (RMA) number must be issued for all returns. Unless otherwise mentioned below all products must be returned within 15 days of sale with a valid RMA number.
- No returns accepted without an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)
- You may get an RMA by calling our customer service department of filling out our RMA form located here: https://pacificbarcode.com/return-merchandise-authorization/
- When returning product, place RMA number on packing slip & shipping label only. Do not write RMA number on boxes. Use a shell or outer box, if necessary.
- Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
- Pacific Barcode does not provide exact delivery dates for orders and does not guarantee that orders will be delivered exactly within the estimated timeframe.
- Pacific Barcode Inc. assumes no responsibility for damages or defects resulting from the use of the products. Pacific Barcode Inc. is not obligated to replace or refund the purchase price unless the products are promptly inspected by the buyer and the buyer notifies Pacific Barcode Inc. within 15 days.
PACIFIC BARCODE WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON THE FOLLOWING:
- Products that have been used
- Products that have been used or opened some exceptions may apply depending on the issue
- Products with missing packaging, manuals, or other components
- Products not purchased from Pacific Barcode
- Purchases or RMAs issued over 30 days
- Opened case quantities and opened packages, used products, custom orders, and/or consumable items such as ink cartridges, blank labels, and other supplies (some exceptions may apply depending on the issue involved)
- A 25% restocking fee will be applicable to returned items within the categories of labels, inks, consumables, and printer parts, in case where the customer has made an incorrect request or order
Quality Returns
- Returns due to quality issues must be reported to Pacific Barcode within 30 days of the invoice date
- If you believe you have received an incorrect or defective product, contact Pacific Barcode’s Customer Service Team at once to get an RMA
Non Quality Returns
- Product returns within 30 days of the invoice date are subject to Pacific Barcode’s non-quality return policy, reviewed case-by-case. Returns beyond 30 days will not be accepted
- Full cases can be returned according to the following guidelines
- A 25% restocking fee will be applicable to returned items within the categories of labels, inks, consumables, and printer parts, in case where the customer has made an incorrect request or order
- Non Stock – Made to Order may be returned if we determine that we can sell them and return of these items will be determined at the time of return
Product Damaged in Transit
- Damaged goods must first be inspected at your location by the freight carrier.
- If you receive damaged goods and you accept them, you must accept them “with exception” on the freight bill or physical or digital receiver (Fedex and UPS)
- Claims for goods damaged in transit must be received within 10 calendar days of shipment.
- Claims are handled between Pacific Barcode and the carrier, outside of normal RMA procedure.
Pacific Barcode’s Responsibility for Shipping Error
- An RMA number will be given to the customer immediately upon notification.
- A call tag or Pacific Barcode’s shipping account number will be will initiated for return the products via ground shipping to BlueStar.
- Credit will be given when the product is received in original boxes unopened with all packing, materials and accessories. .
- Credit will be issued only for returned items that reference an RMA number. If there is a problem or delay in issuing credit, the tracking number must be provided to Pacific Barcode.
Returns Process
- RMA number will be issued after confirming the product to be returned meets all return requirements.
- All product returns must be insured and sent via a carrier that provides on-line tracking.
- If the product is returned it will be shipped at the customer’s expense unless a Pacific Barcode error has occurred.
- RMA numbers must be listed on the label, not on the box. DO NOT WRITE IN THE BOX
Refused Products
- Unless clearly damaged in transit and Pacific Barcode is notified, the customer is responsible for the cost of actual cost shipping/insurance in both directions plus a 35% restocking fee.
Defective or Dead on Arrival (D.O.A.) Product Returns
D.O.A. Product is defined as a product that failed to perform right out of the box. If a unit arrives in working condition and then fails, it is considered a warranty claim.
- D.O.A. is not a valid reason for a return. Reseller must provide details of D.O.A.
- D.O.A. products can be returned within 15 days of receipt.
- Defective or D.O.A. products must include a case number or confirmation name from Pacific Barcode tech support or the appropriate manufacturer.
- Defective product older than 15 days is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
EQUIPMENT: Unwinders, Rewinders, Finishers, Presses
- These will be handled under the manufacturer’s warranty.
Thermal Transfer Ribbons
- QUALITY RETURNS
- Returns for reasons of quality will be considered if brought to Pacific Barcode’s attention within 90 days of the invoice date.
- If you believe you have received an incorrect or defective product, contact Pacific Barcode’s Customer Service Team at once to get an RMA
- NON-QUALITY RETURNS
- Pacific Barcode’s return policy for non-quality reasons applies to product returns that occur within 15 days of the invoice date. Returns beyond 15 days of the invoice date will not be accepted.
- Returns of Full Cases will be accepted as follows:
- Stock items – 25% restocking fee
- Non-Stock – Made to Order may be returned if we determine that we can sell them and return of these items will be determined at the time of return/
- We encourage you to order ribbon samples prior to purchase to ensure that this ribbon will work for your printer and application.
Printheads (OEM and OEM Branded)
- If a claimed defect should occur during the warranty period, a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number must be issued before the product can be returned for evaluation. To open an RMA please contact your Pacific Barcode representative, who will obtain a valid RMA number for you. The unit must be returned freight and insurance prepaid, in the original box, to Pacific Barcode.
- Please include the RMA number on the outside of the carton and on the packing list. Also include Purchaser’s key contact information.
- As a condition of this limited warranty, the user must include with the printhead a written description of the claimed defect, as well as a sample of the printout exhibiting the claimed defect, with printer settings (such as print speed and heat setting) notated. It is highly recommended that you include samples of all ribbons and labels (printed showing the problem and unprinted for Pacific Barcode’s evaluation) that were being used with the returned printhead at the time of failure.
- In the event of a defect covered by this limited warranty, Pacific Barcode will return the repaired or replaced product to the Purchaser at Pacific Barcode’s cost. In addition, ground transportation charges for the return of the product (within the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia) shall be reimbursed by Pacific Barcode.
- Repaired or replaced product shall continue to be covered under this limited warranty until the end of the original warranty period, or for sixty (60) days after the repair or replacement, whichever is later.
Label Credit
Pacific Barcode may periodically offer label credit when select Color Inkjet Label Printers are purchased online.
This label credit may only be applied toward the purchase of stock inkjet labels from the Pacific Barcode website and is not for custom label sizes. There is no cash value and the label credit must be used within 12 months of purchase.
How to Avoid Returns
We highly recommend ordering free printed samples from the printers that you are considering purchasing. This will allow you to see the resolution and image quality before purchasing.
Extended Manufacturer Warranties
These extended warranties are available from Pacific Barcode and registered with the manufacturer at the time of purchase. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the extended warranty purchased was registered with the manufacturer within 15 days of the purchase date.
